A successful film society that has operated from a variety of Camden venues for nearly thirty years is in danger of closing down. The co-op started in its socialist guise inbut its roots go back to an alternative film scene linked to political counter-culture. The Covid pandemic has, naturally, meant screenings are currently postponed. Filmmaker Chris Reeves had been involved in the Co-o; Cottage-based collective Cinema Action, which aimed to use film as a political tool during the s and s.
